Abstract

XYZ gas station is one of the gas stations in Dumai City. In its operation, XYZ gas station uses workers who work in shifts. Each fuel filling station has a different workload. The results of the pre-research that have been carried out show that the standard time required by the workforce is not yet known. To find out the standard time, the researcher uses a work sampling method which can at the same time determine the level of productivity of the workforce. Data collection by observing one operator in charge of refueling BBM vehicles at the XYZ gas station who does his work for 8 working hours (including rest hours). Where observations are made every 5 minutes. Observations were made for 7 consecutive days using the observation sheet. the activities carried out by the operator while working include: briefing, refueling, receiving money, returning money, personal needs. The results of the BKA and BKB testing after the data were obtained were that nothing came out of the control limit, namely 0.90 for the upper limit and 0.63 for the lower limit, while the results of the data adequacy test found sufficient data because the calculated N value was smaller than N observations, namely 125.83<280. During the observation, the number of vehicles served was 1349 units. the percentage of productivity obtained is 76.06%. Therefore, the standard time obtained is 2.19 minutes with an adjustment factor value of 1.08 and the value of the allowance given is 35%.
