Abstract

Kantor Walikota Dumai memiliki begitu banyak Kegiatan sehingga diperlukan sebuah informasi yang cepat dalam menentukan tempat, waktu dan tema kegiatan. Kegiatan tersebut kemudian ditempel di papan pengumuman / mading. Masalah yang sering terjadi papan pengumuman tersebut penuh dengan tempelan kertas sehingga kurang efektif dalam penyampaiannya. Pada penelitian ini akan digunakan metode berbasis Client Server dan SMS Gateway menggunakan Vb 6.0 dimana informasi tersebut berupa informasi digital yang disimpan dalam database secara terstruktur dan dapat diakses melalui jaringan LAN (local Area Network ) dan sistem ini dilengkapi dengan fitur SMS Auto Sender ( pengiriman sms otomatis) ke handphone yang telah terdaftar. Implementasi yang dihasilkan berupa pengumuman digital menggunakan TV LCD sebagai papan informasi sehingga memudahkan para staf / pegawai dalam mendapat Informasi secara cepat.
